Giliopoulos Dimitrios

Research

Dr. Dimitris Giliopoulos is a chemist with expertise in polymer chemistry and technology. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His main research interests focus on the synthesis and characterization of new polymers and biopolymers, as well as on the synthesis of inorganic and hybrid nanostructured materials for the preparation of advanced polymer composites. The fields of his research include aerospace, pharmaceutical technology, construction materials, biomaterials, utilization of renewable sources (e.g. biomass) etc. As a researcher, he has participated in research projects funded by national and European organizations, while he has co-authored publications in international peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and conference proceedings.
