Dr Alexandra Zamboulis is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chemistry Department of AUTh, working under the supervision of Pr. D. Bikiaris and is specialized in organic synthesis for functional materials. She has an extensive experience in organic synthesis and has worked with small molecules such as monomers as well as macromolecular organic and inorganic structures. Her research interests are oriented towards the synthesis of novel monomers and innovative polymers with tailorable properties. She is working on biobased polyesters, copolymers, biodegradable polymers for drug delivery. She has co-authored 13 publications (h-index 5) and one book chapter. As a researcher she has participated in several research nationally and EU-funded projects.
