Research Areas

1. Study of the structure of the Hg, Ag, Au, Cu, Ni, Bi electrodes-aqueous, non-aqueous and mixed solution interface by differential capacitance measurements. Study of frequency dispersion effects and of the fractal morphology of adsorbed layers at electrochemical interfaces of the above electrodes by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.

2. Correlation of bulk properties of solvent systems with the structure of electrochemical interfaces and the interfacial behaviour of surface active compounds.

3. Study of the mechanism of cation electroreduction at the Hg electrode.

4. Mathematical simulation of impedance characteristics of MOS, MOSE and SOE structures.
